Screen Print Press Operator (Semi-Automatic Flatbed Press)
Job Summary
Responsible for setting up and operating a semi-automatic flatbed screen printing press according to written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedures, safety, and quality guidelines. Capable of solving printing problems, making adjustments to mechanical operation of press to keep quality, registration, color, and production speed at optimum. Has good understanding of inks, solvents, and can print line, halftone, and four-color copy on a variety of substrates by performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Consistently produces defect-free parts by following in-process inspection and other process control procedures, using dial calipers and other related inspection tools and equipment.
- Determines scheduling priorities and organize work flow using E2 scheduling tools and sound judgment.
- Receives/obtains substrate, screen, ink, squeegee, and related supplies needed to produce job.
- Reads and understands all sections of the Technigraphics Job Traveler to produce parts according to customer requirements.
- Sets up press according to established company guidelines, safety, and job requirements.
- Prints proof sheets to check press setup, registration, ink viscosity, and color.
- Sets dryer for proper drying or cure.
- Prints job maintaining optimum production rate, color density, registration, and quality standard within company and customer guidelines, and makes press adjustments as required.
- Solves printing problems.
- Prints line, halftone, and four-color copy on a variety of substrates.
- Completes production run including overruns and production samples.
- Completes production and quality records.
- Ensures proper cleanliness of press, work station, and immediate press area by returning unused ink to ink room, removing trash, rags, and extra press sheets. Follows 5-S organization principles.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equiptment.
- Works overtime when needed.
- Comply with company attendance policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Required:
- Minimum 2 years experience in setup and operation of semi-automatic or fully automatic screen printing presses
- High school diploma or GED from a respected school
- Proficient at arithmetic and decimal math. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Understands how to read blueprints and tolerancing concepts.
- Able to communicate verbally using English.
- Must have good judgment of color, design, and print quality.
Preferred:
- Experience with spectrophotometric color matching
- Screenmaking experience for close tolerance printing applications
- Experience with setup and/or operation of digital printing presses

Assembly Technician/Machine Operator
Job Summary
Sets up and operates assembly, testing and light manufacturing production machinery to fabricate and assemble parts to a specified size and shape.
Primary Responsibilities
- Setup and operation of all equipment in the Assembly Department, including (but not limited to):
- Clamshell die cutting press for die cutting and embossing
- Laser cutter
- Pick and place machine for domes and LED’s
- Optical registration punch press
- Sheet laminator and roll laminator
- Crimping machine for pins and housings
- Membrane switch testing equipment
- Doming equipment
- Slitter
- Reads and understands all sections of the Technigraphics Job Traveler to produce parts according to customer requirements.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on the equipment, following manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Maintains a clean and neat work environment, organized around the 5 S’s
- Complies with Technigraphics standards of attendance outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Determines scheduling priorities and organize work flow using E2 scheduling tools and sound judgment.

- High school diploma or GED from a respected school
- Basic understanding of Windows OS
- Proficient at arithmetic and decimal math. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Understands how to read blueprints and tolerancing concepts.
- Able to communicate verbally using English.
Preferred:
- 1 – 3 years experience with setup and operation of automated pick and place assembly equipment
- 1 – 3 years experience with setup and operation of clamshell die cutting presses
- 1 – 3 years experience with setup and operation of semi-automatic screenprinting equipment.
