You'll enjoy how easy we are to work with!
Membrane switches have been a critical component in connecting customers or end-users to your machines for over 20 years. As a leading-edge custom membrane switch manufacturer, Technigraphics produces custom membrane switches, membrane keypads and keyboards, and tactile membrane keypads, which are tailored to your exact requirements. Our design engineers work closely with you, offering advice and support to create a membrane switch design that will meet your functional, cosmetic, cost and delivery criteria.
Technigraphics is a quality-focused membrane switch supplier that can offer you a wide range of custom membrane switch constructions, assuring you will get the most cost-effective solution to meet your unique membrane switch design requirements.
The majority of membrane switch designs utilize silver flex constructions. Silver Flex membrane switch panels utilize screenprinted conductive inks printed on flexible polyester layers separated by an adhesive spacer. These membrane keypads are often the most cost-effective solution for most designs.
The PCB Switch construction utilizes a printed circuit board (PCB) which can serve a dual purpose in your membrane switch design. With a PCB membrane switch, the PCB can serve as a rigid backer, and is also a very durable and reliable method to incorporate LED’s, resistors, LCD’s and other components.
The Copper Flex Membrane Switch constructions are ideal for smaller designs, where space is at a premium, or where the circuitry patterns are dense. Copper Flex membrane keypads utilize silver or copper layers which are laminated to a dielectric layer and etched away.
Silicone rubber keypads use compression-molded silicone rubber with conductive carbon pills or with non-conductive rubber actuators. They have exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures and aging.
When your parts must withstand vandal-resistance, operator abuse, or harsh environments, our Dynapic Piezoelectric keypads are an excellent solution. By embedding discrete piezo elements in the switch construction, we can produce a vandal-resistant metal keypad with an aluminum or steel faceplate.
Technigraphics offers a variety of membrane switch backlighting options. Whether utilizing LED’s, fiber optic lamps, or electroluminescent lamps (EL lamps), we can advise you how to achieve the most cost-effective solution for your membrane switch design.
Capacitive buttons/sensors can be printed on a polyester film using conductive ink, or can be copper pads on a PCB. These sensors are connected to the Fast Touch™ IC. When a button is pressed, the IC measures the increase in capacitance and triggers a response.
